We currently actively seeking:
Civil Engineer We are looking for someone with experience in infra-structure and residential development design to support our setting out engineers with the interrogation and creation of setting out data and machine control models. Excellent communication skills are essential. This is a fast moving dynamic role that raises daily challenges to ensure construction productivity is optimised.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in civil engineering and have some experience with a consulting engineer in the design and creation of S38, S278 and S104 drawings as well as foundations and retaining walls. The role will involve the interrogation of design drawings and cross-referencing of schedules, specifications and design codes. You will have good AutoCAD experience and the ability to manipulate and overlay plans where necessary. Experience with ground models and volume computations will be advantageous.
You will have good communication skills and be able to raise technical queries with the design team whilst also being able to liaise with setting out engineers and site supervisors. Training will be provided to enable you to create machine control models for remote upload to excavators on sites throughout the SW. This requires liaison with site supervisors and operatives.
Salary and package by negotiation dependent upon experience.
The position is office based at either Redruth or Exeter.
Utility Surveyor based in Exeter, confident with EML and GPR detection as well as carrying out CCTV surveys. Experience of using Leica or Trimble survey equipment is desirable along with drafting in AutoCAD. Applicants with previous experience with CCTV or land surveying looking to further develop their skills will also be considered.
Setting Out Engineer based in Redruth or Exeter, experienced with robotic total station, GPS, LSS and AutoCAD. Various sites from major civils through to residential new builds and everything in between. Ideally with the ability to create and extract your own data and QA check observations and drawings but consideration will be given to those looking to undertake apprenticeships or career change.
Land Surveyor based in Redruth or Exeter, experience with robotic total station, GPS, laser scanning, N4Ce and AutoCAD. Surveys varying in size from major infra-structure, hospitals and estates through to domestic extensions. Ideally with the ability to undertake surveys from award to issue but consideration given to those looking to undertake apprenticeships or career change.
