Our Story

Our business was founded in 1988 by our MD, Scott Kemp. Originally the company was primarily involved in the engineering setting out of major road projects such as the North Devon Link Road, M40 Oxford to Birmingham, A30 Mitchell to Summercourt, A39 Penryn By-Pass which, along with many others, were our mainstay.

Our setting out services now cover everything from short visits for self builders to full setting out and survey support for major civil engineering and construction projects.

In 2000, whilst providing all of the engineering survey support for the construction of the Eden Project, we opened our services for topographic and measured building surveys to Architects and Consulting Engineers. This division now employs the latest 3D laser scanners as well as the more traditional methods and techniques.

In 2006 we opened our specialist utility survey division, Seeka and were one of the very first firms in the South West to offer this new service. This division is active throughout the SW and has undertaken major sub-surface utility surveys for hospitals, schools and major highway schemes throughout the region.

In 2014 we were again ahead of the game and employed UAV (drone) technology to undertake all of the earthworks measures for the JV contractors on the Kingsteignton By-Pass. UAVs continue to be employed in support of our surveys for progress photographs, inspections and topographic detail.

We currently have staff based from Penzance to Weston with our head office in Redruth and our area office in Exeter. We continue to employ the latest technologies which is coupled with our ongoing staff development and training to ensure we offer an unrivalled geomatic service.
