Engineering Director

Chris has been with Kemp since 2002, when he joined as a trainee, eager to work his way up the ranks. During his early career, Chris gained his ONC and HNC qualifications at Cornwall and Exeter College, laying the groundwork for his progression within the company.

Now serving as Engineering Director, Chris oversees all engineering survey and setting-out operations, ensuring projects are delivered with precision and expertise. Over the years, he has worked on an impressive range of projects, from residential developments to large-scale infrastructure and heavy civils. One standout achievement in his career was managing all of the setting out and survey operations for both of Truro’s Park and Ride schemes in 2008 and 2014, which were key projects that transformed the city’s transport system.

Chris brings a wealth of experience, and knowledge to the team. When he’s not in the office he embraces an active lifestyle, enjoying running, cycling, and surfing along Cornwall’s beautiful coastline, alongside spending quality time with his young family, striking a balance between his career achievements and personal life.
