Nigel Osborne

Land and Measured Building Survey Manager

Nigel brings a wealth of experience to Kemp, having started his surveying career in New Zealand, where he studied and worked for engineering consultancies in Auckland. After returning to the UK in 2003, Nigel worked extensively as a land surveyor for a multi national consultancy in London, working on large scale infrastructure projects on the UK’s rail networks. Including the London Underground, Network Rail, DLR, Crossrail and NIR (Northern Ireland Railway).

In 2015, Nigel moved to Cornwall with his family and joined Kemp, where he now leads the Land and Measured Building Survey teams. Nigel is responsible for pricing jobs, creating, checking, and issuing drawings, and he serves as the first point of contact for clients interested in a survey. Nigel was an early adopter of 3D point cloud technology and, as a specialist in precise deformation monitoring, continually embraces advancements in the field. In addition to his management duties, he leads the precise deformation monitoring element of the business, overseeing projects across the Southwest.

Outside of work, Nigel enjoys mountain biking and outdoor pursuits alongside tackling home improvement projects at home in Padstow. When he’s not working on his house, he loves spending quality time with his family, making the most of Cornwall’s beautiful surroundings.
